Here is a rave from American Airlines and their new Remember Me service. I called and enrolled immediately, because I deplore tele-prompt menus! After calling and enrolling we tested this service and it worked like a charm, no entering in account numbers, or listening for the right prompt, or repeating AGENT! AGENT! AGENT!. It recognized us immediately, went to our next American Reservation we had for Miami International Airport and asked how would we like help with the reservation. Here is some info from American Airlines email announcing the service.
American Airlines Recent enhancements to our Remember MeSM technology are making it faster and more convenient for AAdvantage® members to obtain upcoming flight information when calling American Airlines.
As you may know, Remember Me provides you with a direct path to information about your upcoming trips when calling from a phone number pre-registered with American. The system recognizes your phone number, instantaneously pulls up your reservation and even greets you by name. All of this information is available within a few seconds at the beginning of the call, so you can obtain your personal flight details and be on your way.
Now, we have enhanced the technology to give you the option to register any phone number, up to a maximum of three - such as your cell, home and/or work phone numbers. Also, we have made it easier to register for Remember Me with a single phone call to AAdvantage Reservations at 1-800-882-8880. When you call, simply
- Speak with a representative directly, or
- Access this feature through our automated system by calling from a phone number listed in your AAdvantage account
- At the main menu say, “Remember Me”
- Say your American Airlines account
- Then say, “Enroll Now”
