MIAMI - American Airlines announced today it will start a second daily flight between Miami International Airport (MIA) and San Salvador, El Salvador ( SAL). The new flight will operate seasonally from June 11 through Aug. 24, 2009.

American, a founding member of the global oneworld® Alliance, will fly the route with its 148-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which features 16 seats in Business Class and 132 seats in Economy.

“We are delighted to offer additional service between Miami and San Salvador during the high season,” said Ed Del Pozo, American’s Country Manager in El Salvador. “This additional service from Miami complements our existing service to San Salvador from Los Angeles and offers passengers flying through our Miami hub a host of additional convenient connections to other U.S cities, Europe, the Caribbean, and South America.”
