Business Travel Tips

So far, 20 airports have installed new Security check in kiosks to speed business travelers through the TSA screening process. You still will be subjected to the metal detectors and X-ray scanners but you will not have to wait in the long security wait lines to get to those devices and clear security. According to the website you walk up to one of the blue illuminated Clear cubes, insert a card into the kiosk along with your biometric information and then you will be escorted to the front of the designated Clear lanes to pass through the metal detectors and x-ray screening. According to their website http://www.flyclear.com/ you save as much as 30% time when clearing security.

Current Airports accepting Clear are:

Albany
Atlanta
Boston Terminal A
Cincinnati
Denver
Indianapolis
Jacksonville
Little Rock
Newark-Terminals B1, B2
New York-JFK -Terminals 1, 2, 4, 7
New York-LaGuardia -Central Terminal B, Terminal D
Oakland
Orlando
Reno-Tahoe
Salt Lake City
San Francisco
San Jose
Washington-Dulles
Washington-Reagan
Westchester

JFK and LAX are coming soon to the list of airports.

The cost of membership is $199 per year. There is an application in the two point enrollment process, first is collecting info like drivers license number and past addresses you have lived at, etc. The second part is an in person process where Clear will capture images of your irises and fingerprints, and take your photograph. Cards are then issued after 2 to 4 weeks. Have you used Clear? Let us know what you think.

FlyClear has been great…Especially at Dulles, you cruise right through security in minutes. I’ve used it in Indy, Reagan, Dulles and Atlanta, all with ease.

Good article here, I really found it very informative. I grew up in Reno and still have several happy memories of the region. I am planning a trip back there this year. I am really looking forward to seeing the historic houses around Reno again. They are so well-built.
